Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, revising, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, including system guides, user manuals, safety protocols, installation instructions, and operational procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear, concise manner, ensuring it is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role will require close collaboration with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

 

Job Description

  • Develop and Maintain Documentation: Create, update, and manage technical documents such as user manuals, safety guidelines, installation instructions, and process workflows.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: Work closely with engineers, researchers, product managers, and operational teams to gather the necessary technical information and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Simplify Complex Concepts: Translate complex technical content into easily understandable materials for diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all documentation aligns with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and internal quality assurance requirements.
  • Create Visual Aids: Develop and integrate diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to support and enhance the understanding of technical instructions and processes.
  • Version Control: Regularly update and maintain documents to reflect changes in technologies, systems, and regulations. Ensure proper version control for all documents.
  • Documentation Audits: Conduct regular audits of existing documentation to verify consistency, accuracy, and completeness across all formats and ensure compliance with current standards.
  • Coordinate with Global Teams: Work with international teams to ensure consistency in documentation across regions and languages as necessary.

 

Skills Required

  • Strong ability to simplify and document complex technical processes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, focusing on accuracy and clarity.
  • Experience with version control systems, content management systems (CMS), and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements in the industry is a plus.

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing, ideally in an industrial, chemical, or manufacturing environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Preferred - familiarity with industrial gasses, fiber technology, or manufacturing processes.
  • Preferred - experience working in a global organization with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Preferred - knowledge of software development practices, industrial processes, or relevant technical standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
