Job Description

The Translator will provide accurate translation and interpretation services for written and spoken content related to manufacturing operations. This role involves ensuring clear communication between multi-lingual teams, translating technical documents, manuals, safety protocols, product specifications, and training materials, as well as facilitating seamless communication between employees, suppliers, and clients who speak Mandarin. Please note this is a Night Shift Position.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation between Mandarin and English for technical discussions, meetings, and training sessions in the manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and robotics domains.
• Assist in bridging language gaps between Mandarin-speaking team members and English-speaking counterparts to ensure smooth collaboration and understanding.
• Work closely with project teams to convey technical information, specifications, and instructions accurately.
• Support communication during 12-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, adhering to a 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on).

Requirements

• Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Background in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or robotics to facilitate precise interpretation of technical terms and concepts.
• Proven experience as an interpreter in technical and engineering settings.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adhere to a 2-2-3 schedule throughout the project duration.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Bachelor's degree in language studies, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience as an interpreter in manufacturing or engineering environments is highly desirable.
• Certification in interpretation or language studies is a plus.
• Must be able to work overnight.
