About the Opportunity: Looking for a full-time audio-visual support engineer to join our rapidly growing team based in Washington DC. This is a 100% onsite role supporting a customer with a global footprint. The successful candidate will join a team of professional technicians and engineers in a robust and dynamic AV/UC environment.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a skillset that includes advanced troubleshooting and design testing, white glove support for large hybrid events and a demonstrated ability to foster highly efficient collaboration. As a part of this highly knowledgeable and effective team you will be working in an active office environment to provide direct AV support to teams on site and remotely to teams all over the world.

About the Job:

Essential Responsibilities

1. Verify conference high-profile room technology is functioning as expected by performing physical inspection of the equipment and regular review of reporting available from software monitoring tools.

2. Troubleshoot complex system anomalies using standardized approach and develop documentation to share with the team. Develop custom solutions as required to address root cause.

3. Lead both local and global hardware replacement and device software configuration. Collaborate with technical teams remotely to verify functionality and resolve unexpected issues.

4. Actively engage with the management team to build and execute program process. Proactively develop optimization plans for team consideration.

5. Manage and respond to issues reported by client employees through the ticketing system and other intake mechanisms to meet the contracted Service Level Agreement s (SLAs).

6. Defining and test new AV design concepts and deployments using lessons learned from support cases and input from technician team.

7. Periodic travel to international office locations for project work is expected – 1-2 times per year

8. Provide system level reviews of regional system integrator Bill of Materials and deployment plans against the Global AV Design standards – supported by the BSI engineer of record

Secondary Duties

1. Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships for support; escalate performance concerns to the management team.

2. Create records about inventory, maintenance and other key details related to client equipment.

3. Other duties as assigned.

Desired minimum Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required

2. Associate's degree in audiovisual technology or related field is preferred

3. 5+ years of experience providing technical support

4. 5+ years experience in commercial audio visual technology and networking

5. Programming and advanced networking experience is a plus

6. Avixa CTS certification (CTS-I, CTS-D) is a plus

Special Requirements

1. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Teams

2. Customer service mindset

3. Experience with Crestron, QSC or Shure products

Physical Demands and Work Environment

1. Ability to sit, stand, stoop or bend for extended periods of time

2. Periodic extended instances of walking throughout the campus to support meetings, sweeps and events

3. Periodic off hours event support – pre-arranged and communicated

4. Occasional domestic travel

5. Office related tasks may require prolonged sitting/standing
