Job Description

A global outdoor gear product company in the Tacoma, WA area is looking for an Operations Director who is bilingual in Japanese and English. This position requires you to work with US side of President and HQ Management team to operate US business and the office.

The ideal candidate is someone who has great leadership with solid experience in managing teams in USA. You must be able to read and write financial reports, and lead sales activities. Please note that you will be asked to work overtime or weekends/holidays as an Operations Director. (Communication between different offices takes outside of regular office hours).

This position is required you to be in the office on weekdays. Also, it is non negotiable to be fluent in both Japanese and English. Also, it is important to understand and be able to have the most update knowledge of HR regulation and business regulation of Washington State.

Please note this position does not support your VISA or transfer any types of working VISA.

Responsibilities of Japanese / English Bilingual Operations Director:

• Supervise office operation and employees (Both Japanese and English speakers)
• Communicate with the president and members from HQ about how to operate business in USA
• Monitor and manage productivity and performance
• Deliver exceptional levels of service excellence across all sales and activity channels
• Create reports related to cost and performance internally, and able to come up with strong and stable business plans
• Build relationship with all internal and external customers, and assist the Sales Team to be success
• Oversee logistics activities and consult the logistics team if it is needed
• Manage payroll and benefits, employee book, HR sector of work
• Ensure compliance with corporate, industry, and regulatory standards
• Other duties as required by the President

Requirements for Japanese / English Bilingual Operations Director:

• Must have at least 5+ years of supervise experience of an office
• Full cycle accounting and payroll experience, and previous experience of dealing with financial and sales reports
• Bachelors in Business administration, supply chain management and related field is must. (We value the high quality of education background).
• More than Business level in both Japanese and English language skills
• ERP or Freight Management System experience is plus
• Detail oriented and strong in math/numbers
• Excellent Communication and Analytical skills
• Must be flexible and able to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment
• Must be able to pass background check (Clean criminal background and driving record)
• Ability to work outside of office hours for taking care of urgent business matters

This position is Direct Hired / Full-Time.

The salary will be DOE, but it will start from $100K to up to $120K.

The company will provide you Medical/Dental/Vision insurance.

Also, PTO and sick day leave will be provided.
