Job Description

Our gaming client in Burbank (3x per week in-office) is in search of a Video Game Capture Artist with deep experience in Unreal Engine, Unity and video editing to help bring games to life through visually compelling trailers and marketing content. This is a temporary role with full-time hours. You will capture cinematic and gameplay moments directly in engine, then transform them into polished video assets that support game launches, campaigns and brand storytelling. You have a strong visual eye, understand pacing and narrative flow and are skilled at using real-time tools and editing software to deliver high-quality content. This is a highly collaborative role that works across creative, product and marketing teams.

Responsibilities:

• Capture real-time gameplay and cinematic footage in Unreal Engine and Unity
• Edit captured footage into trailers, teasers and social content using Adobe Premiere Pro
• Set up scenes in engine: adjust lighting, camera placement and character animation for cinematic effect
• Collaborate with creative directors, motion designers and marketing leads to align content with campaign goals
• Stage and direct gameplay moments that highlight mechanics, visuals and story beats
• Partner with product managers to troubleshoot and deploy complex, dynamic content tied to Adobe Campaign and Salesforce
• Ensure visual and brand consistency across all captured and edited content
• Stay current with new features in game engines and editing tools to improve workflow and output
• Maintain an organized library of captured and edited assets for reuse

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience capturing in-game footage in Unreal Engine and Unity
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with a strong editing portfolio or demo reel
• Background in cinematography or photography with knowledge of framing, lighting and camera movement
• Strong storytelling instincts—knows how to use visuals, pacing and music to create emotional impact
• Basic knowledge of post-production techniques like color correction and effects
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly under deadlines
• Interest in video games and storytelling
