Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced CFO Chief Financial Officer, for a Home Health Agency located in White Plains, NY. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years of experience within Home Care settings including both public and private accounting. Experience with a home health agency is required. Must have strong knowledge of GAAP and applicable federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements, as well as general ledger and financial statement experience. Must have experience and knowledge with Payroll and Home Care Billing. CPA, preferred.

CFO - Chief Financial Officer - Home Care

The CFO - Chief Financial Officer directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. Oversees the payroll and billing departments.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
• Responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel in the Accounting Department; (Accounting, Billing, A/P and Payroll). Recommends training requirements, and has the duty to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives.
• Maintains the Company’s accounting system and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
• Reviews internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnishes external reports as necessary.
• Directs and oversees the preparation of monthly financial statements and applicable work papers.
• Oversees all banking transactions and reviews monthly reconciliation.
• Responsible for providing effective financial controls for the organization.
• Reconcile quarterly payroll tax returns to Company books.
• Coordinate annual audit in conjunction with Company’s independent auditors.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Ensure all HIPAA requirements are adhered to.
• Follows Agency policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting Certified Public Accountant designation and MBA are preferred
• 10+ years of experience including both public and private accounting
• 2+ years of experience with a home health agency & senior programs preferred
• Proficiency with accounting and spreadsheet software
• General ledger and financial statement experience.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communications skills
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and applicable federal and state corporate taxation requirements

Competitive salary $195,000-215,000 & benefit package!
