The Little Donkey is looking to hire an experienced Chef for the Montgomery, AL location. If you have a love and regard for the bold and diverse flavors of Mexico as well as the typical casual fun experience in a Mexican restaurant, then READ ON!

Where recipe research, and collaborations with cooks for all over Mexico and the American south was the inspiration behind the Little Donkey. You have experience leading a team and managing the daily operation of the business. You will be responsible for maintaining the standard of work from employees as well as onboarding and hiring new team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching, training, and development to a team of people in the areas of food quality, safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures
  • Interviews and assists in the selection of all employees, maintaining staffing par levels
  • Partners with the GM to ensure the financial performance of the restaurant
  • Delivers results for which she or he is accountable
  • Manage culinary operations of the business
  • Train new hires on culinary practices
  • Drive development of employees
  • Ensure that quality of work or service is maintained

Qualifications

  • Management and Guest Service experience
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead
  • Maintains high standards of personal ethics; is consistently honest and truthful in all situations
  • Confidence in working with budgets, food and labor cost management, and strong communication skills.
