Overview :
As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting mission-critical initiatives across our federal clientele. This position requires an active security clearance and onsite availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, install, and maintain large-scale data processing systems to meet federal standards.
- Develop highly scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
- Design and implement data storage solutions (e.g., data lakes, warehouses) on AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
- Build ETL frameworks to collect data from multiple sources and transform it to support analytics and operational needs.
- Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure data flow and compliance with DoD/IC requirements.
- Participate in system architecture reviews and federal compliance checks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA).
Required Qualifications:
- Active U.S. security clearance (DoD or IC level).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and data pipeline tools.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse.
- Familiarity with federal data security and privacy guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working in federal or defense projects.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Understanding of security protocols and cloud governance in federal environments.
