Chemical manufacturing plant in northeast TN (near Kingsport) has immediate opening for an EHS Manager. This role is responsible for developing, implementing and improving EHS policies, procedures and systems. The EHS Manager will ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations as well as ISO-14001/45001 standards. Will lead safety training at the plant. Position is heavily focused on Environmental permitting and reporting.
The EHS Manager will be on the production floor a lot. Building positive relationships with hourly employees is key. Will also spend time training leadership on EHS topics to ensure safety is always top-of-mind. The plant has a good safety record, but there is always room to improve the culture around Safety topics.
Qualified candidates will have BS degree with 3+ years experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety roles in chemical manufacturing. Will consider EHS Coordinator or Supervisor who is ready to move into a Manager role.
