Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all project aspects are accounted for. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction management, and the ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers.

Duties

• Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Experience in STACK construction estimating software
• Experience in PlanSwift construction estimating software
• Experience in New Residential/Commercial Siding and Stucco turnkey and labor only
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant data for estimating.
• Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and implement cost control measures.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible rates.
• Prepare bid proposals and present findings to management for review.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as STACK or PlanSwift is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Familiarity with contract terms and conditions relevant to construction projects.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in cost analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• A background in project management is a plus, along with experience working on construction sites.
