Full Cycle Medical Biller Wanted!

Are you an experienced home care Full Cycle Medical Biller looking for your next opportunity? BrightStar Care of Central Ohio is looking for you! We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated individual to join our team! As a Medical Biller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate billing, compliance, and smooth operations in our home care agency.

Position : Medical Biller

Location : Columbus, Ohio

Job Type : Full time

Salary : $25-$27 per hour, plus collection bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process Medicaid, health insurance, DODD, private pay claims and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Review patient records, insurance details, and medical codes to prepare billing documentation.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, working with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to clarify billing information and resolve issues.
• Stay updated on state and federal policies and regulations to ensure billing practices are current and compliant.
• Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions and communications.

Requirements:

• At least 3-years stable previous experience in medical billing or healthcare billing is expected.
• Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures, coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and insurance verification.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with billing software and QuickBooks Pro.
• High School Diploma, Associate or Bachelor but experience and ability is most important
