At Monkee’s Franchising, LLC we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages,
informs, and inspires our fashionable consumers. We're looking for a talented graphic
designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print
and electronic media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design
software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final
deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company and franchisees, the
graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a
design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of
branding and marketing and be able to find the right style and layout for every project. Work
on day-to-day creative requests for Monkee’s stores and corporate projects. This role is
designed for individuals who are starting their career in this field and are looking to gain
foundational experience.
This is an in-office position at our Monkee’s Headquarters in Winston-Salem, NC.
There is not a relocation package.
Your position includes:
· Design creative assets including email campaigns, social media graphics,
animations/gifs, website graphics, digital ads, print ads, custom print material, large
signage and more.
· Design all assets keeping the brand’s identity consistent with our established Monkee’s
Brand Guidelines, thereby maintaining brand integrity across all media.
· Update and maintain the Monkee’s online digital asset management system (Canva) in
support of our franchisees.
· Take concepts to final design and prepare files for appropriate print and digital usage.
· Assist stores and Marketing team with email setup, scheduling and maintenance.
· Work on multiple projects eHiciently using the Monkee’s Task Management system
(Teamwork).
· Respond to custom, creative design requests of franchisees in an eHicient and timely
manner (3 day lead time).
· Collaborate with the Marketing team to gather and create content for the creation of the
biweekly marketing newsletter (Monkee See, Marketer Do).
· Attend meetings with franchisees to provide support and assist in marketing eHorts,
including the development and customization of marketing strategies tailored to their
specific needs.
Required skills and qualifications:
• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline
• Four or more years of experience (academic and professional) with design software,
including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
