Job Description

HRMS Administrator - Workday

Location: Eagan, MN

Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office / 2 remote (first 90 days onsite full-time)

Location Requirement:

This is a hybrid position based in the Twin Cities. We are only considering local candidates at this time, as regular on-site collaboration is required. Candidates must reside in or be relocating to the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area.

We’re partnering with a dynamic and growing organization seeking an experienced HRMS Administrator (Workday) to join their team during a pivotal system transformation. This person will lead and support the implementation of Workday and play a critical role in shaping and maintaining the platform going forward. This is an opportunity to be part of a foundational shift in how HR systems, processes, and data are structured and leveraged across the organization.

What You’ll Do:

Implementation Leadership

  • Partner with HR, IT, and external consultants to guide the successful rollout of a new HR technology platform.
  • Serve as the internal point person throughout the implementation process.
  • Oversee system buildout, configuration, and testing.
  • Help document business processes, create training materials, and ensure knowledge transfer.

System Ownership & Administration

  • Take charge of ongoing system configuration, updates, and user maintenance post-go-live.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working collaboratively with technical partners.
  • Ensure appropriate role-based access controls and data security protocols.
  • Perform audits and regular reviews to maintain data integrity.

User Training & Enablement

  • Support HR and business users with hands-on training tailored to varying levels of technical fluency.
  • Be the go-to internal resource for post-implementation questions and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for escalated support as needed.

Optimization & Insights

  • Recommend and implement improvements in workflows and functionality to meet evolving business needs.
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards that inform decisions around talent, compliance, and planning.
  • Stay up to date on new platform features and best practices, continuously driving system enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable HR and data governance regulations.

What You Bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Direct experience with Workday HCM—ideally with hands-on involvement in implementation.
  • Knowledge of HR functions including benefits, recruiting, absence tracking, and compensation.
  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with data tools like Power BI, Excel, or SQL.
  • Experience with system integrations, data migration, and configuration.
  • Solid grasp of compliance topics like employee data privacy, EEOC/FLSA, and multi-state HR laws.
  • Comfort translating technical capabilities to non-technical audiences—especially important when supporting field-based or hands-on professionals.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range is $90,000–$120,000, depending on experience. Benefits include 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision, generous PTO (starting at 3 weeks), 401(k) match, annual bonus, profit sharing, and participation in an ESOP.

Why This Role?

This is a high-impact role within an organization undergoing digital transformation in HR. You’ll collaborate across departments, influence system decisions from the ground up, and be the go-to resource post-launch. If you enjoy improving systems, connecting the dots between people and technology, and helping teams thrive through better tools—this could be the perfect opportunity.
