Job Description

Commercial Construction Superintendent – Boston, MA

TI Builders, a national leader in Design/Build commercial construction for over 35 years, is seeking a motivated Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our Boston team. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of commercial construction experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility and grow into a leadership position.

At TI Builders, we believe in teamwork, mentorship, and customer service. Our culture supports individuals who take initiative, ask questions, and provide solutions. If you’re looking for a place to build your career—not just a job site—we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As Superintendent, you’ll be hands-on in managing day-to-day site operations while learning the broader skills needed to run large commercial projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating with subcontractors and distributing updated plans and details.
  • Monitoring quality control and maintaining safety standards on site.
  • Drafting and sending RFIs to architects and engineers.
  • Approving and producing subcontract change orders in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining the master project schedule.
  • Assisting with estimating project costs and materials.
  • Researching and helping secure qualified subcontractors.
  • Providing weekly updates to clients on schedule progress, outstanding issues, and job status.
  • Meeting with subcontractors prior to their start date to confirm scope, materials, and methods.
  • Using project management tools such as monday.com , Microsoft Project, Excel, and Dropbox.
  • Performing occasional hands-on tasks: lifting, operating tools, and basic equipment maintenance when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • MUST HAVE commercial construction experience — preferably with a background in tenant improvement (TI) projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project (Gantt charts), Excel, Dropbox, and monday.com .
  • A basic understanding of job-site safety and quality standards.
  • Reliable transportation (a truck preferred).
  • Willingness to work varying shifts depending on project needs.

Why Join TI Builders?

  • Competitive pay up to $120,000 depending on experience.
  • National firm with stability, strong pipeline of projects, and opportunities for career growth.
  • A collaborative culture where junior superintendents work closely with senior leaders to develop expertise in scheduling, estimating, subcontractor management, and more.
  • Be part of a company that has set the standard in commercial construction for over three decades.
