This may include dimension control, grading, site development, planting, plant lists and specifications, tree preservation, demolition, and project manual documents.
  • Maintain a foundational understanding of local municipal codes and regulations, applying this knowledge to ensure that proposed design solutions comply with zoning, permitting, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Confer with clients, engineering personnel, architects, and municipal staff on landscape expectations and requirements.
  • Produce color graphic renderings of landscape designs using Sketchup, AutoCAD, Land FX, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design software.

  • Possess detailed knowledge of plant materials: trees, shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, groundcover, etc. Must also possess knowledge about growing conditions, such as sunlight and watering retirements, growth potential, and which plants are native.
  • Identify and select appropriate sustainable materials for use in landscape designs.

We require:

  • Professional Texas Landscape Architect license.
  • At least four years of landscape architecture experience and/or land planning experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam, Sketch Up, and Land FX.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Connections are a critical part of how we work.

It helps to have:

  • Membership in AICP, ASLA
  • Experience managing a team of Landscape Architects, Designers, and Interns.
