Job Description

Offit Kurman, an AmLaw 200 law firm, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Litigation & Family Law team in Hackensack, NJ. This role provides direct support to attorneys handling complex litigation and family law matters, including divorce cases, in both New Jersey and New York.

Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney schedules, including meetings, court appearances, and deadlines
  • Draft, proofread, and format litigation and family law documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements related to divorce matters
  • Maintain client and case files, both electronic and physical
  • Coordinate trial preparation and assist with case management throughout the litigation process
  • Handle client communications with professionalism and discretion
  • Support financial processes, including billing and expense reports
  • Provide backup reception support as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in family law/divorce law required, specifically litigation experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Internet research skills, document management systems, and client management systems.
