Job Title : Mechanical Engineer

Duration: 12+ months contract

Location: Marlborough, MA 01752

Shift: Monday – Friday; 40hours week; 8:00AM - 500PM

Pay Rate: $32.00/hr on w2 (all inclusive)

Job Summary:

• Thoroughly skillful in AutoCAD and Inventor 3D drafting of engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Drafting CAD Standards, including creating CAD Standards Libraries, Paper/Model Space, and Plotting/Publishing.
• Must be familiar with piping specifications, administrative and technical practices, design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams and interpreting vendor information.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
• Highly motivated, eager to contribute to the establishment of an effective and efficient design/drafting team.
• Ability to work and collaborate in a group environment.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Ability to always maintain professionalism.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Field Experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project and Applications Engineers with initial design and final design solutions on projects and proposals.
• Develops Equipment General Arrangement drawings as well as Plant Layouts.
• Conceptualize plans, details, and sections to accurately convey construction or fabrication requirements.
• Prepare and develop 2D CAD designs under the supervision of the lead piping designer or engineer.
• Develops 3D models of fabricated, skidded systems for shop assembly.
• Ensure compliance with approve design standards, to provide quality design.
• Coordinate vendor supplied drawings or information into project drawings.
• Draft piping drawings and isometrics.
• Prepare Bill of Material.
• Communicate and interface with other engineering disciplines.
