At Strive!, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) have the flexibility to work in the setting that best aligns with their skills and interests—whether in an acute hospital or inpatient rehab facility (IRF). No matter the environment, COTAs play a vital role in supporting patients on their journey to recovery. Whether assisting with early-stage rehabilitation for acute care patients or helping individuals regain independence and function in an inpatient setting, our COTAs are empowered to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid Florida COTA license
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Open to all levels of experience, including new graduates
  • Interest and ability to work in any of the following settings:
    • Acute hospital – Assisting occupational therapists with early rehabilitation and functional support for patients recovering from trauma, surgery, or illness
    • Inpatient rehab facility (IRF) – Supporting goal-driven therapy to help patients regain independence and mobility
