Job Description

The Vibe Restaurants Payroll Specialist will be responsible for all tasks related to payroll processing in accordance with company policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulations for 2500+ employees in 110+ locations, within 11 states , The Payroll Specialist role is responsible for building and following standardized processes and procedures in their day to day role and will be instrumental in building alternatives and solutions for the best course of action.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist are:

  • Preparation and delivery to Paymasters, 4 bi-weekly payrolls for all hourly and salaried employees including bonuses and various other manual checks
  • Process final paychecks for multiple states in accordance to Final Pay Day Laws
  • Set up administrative privileges to our operations management team for Rapid Pay
  • Complete and provide information on all wage verification's
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, as needed
  • Assist with pulling information and reports for various audits
  • Process payroll corrections and adjustments as needed
  • Review accuracy of timecards, payroll deductions and tax withholdings, among other sections
  • Prepare and submit 401(k) changes and loan changes, address updates, child support orders and garnishments orders, as well as maintains compliance
  • Respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll in a timely and professional manner
  • Partner with Operations to ask follow up questions, as needed.
  • Must be able to keep strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information involving HR, management team and employees
  • Filing (physically and/or electronically)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements of the Payroll Administrator role are:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in payroll processing for franchise restaurants or retail is desired
  • Knowledge of isolved is preferred
  • Must have experience in handling payroll for multiple brands, multiple locations and multiple states
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess superior time management skills.
  • Must be professional and capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team and be collaborative, as well as work independently when needed
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Payroll certification is a plus
  • Critical thinker

  • Ability to adapt in times of ambiguity
  • Must have great oral and written communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Superior time management skills
