Job Description

What You’ll Be Leading

As the Project Executive, you’ll serve as the executive sponsor for a portfolio of K-12 and higher education projects—overseeing everything from preconstruction through delivery. You’ll work directly with owners, architects, internal leadership, and field teams to ensure excellence in execution, client satisfaction, and continued market growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive oversight on education projects from pursuit to closeout
  • Build and maintain client relationships at the highest level
  • Collaborate with business development and marketing on strategic pursuits
  • Guide preconstruction efforts including budgeting, planning, and design input
  • Oversee project teams to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance
  • Mentor Project Managers and Superintendents, supporting professional growth and leadership development
  • Manage risk, resolve critical project issues, and uphold company standards
  • Represent the company in industry organizations and community engagement efforts

What My Client Is Looking For

This role is designed for someone with strong business acumen, proven project leadership, and a passion for shaping the built environment in the education space.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong track record in education-sector projects
  • Prior experience in a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, or similar leadership role
  • Deep understanding of public and private education construction processes and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead multiple teams across concurrent projects
  • Excellent communication, client-facing, and team-building skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred

Why This Role?

My client offers a standout culture of trust, growth, and performance, along with one of the most robust project pipelines in the region. You’ll have the opportunity to drive meaningful, community-based work with the support of one of the best precon and field teams in the business.

Compensation includes:

  • Competitive base salary + performance bonus
  • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle
  • 401(k) with company match
  • ESOP eligibility
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Professional development and leadership training
