POSITION SUMMARY

Spectrum Painting is seeking a Sales Estimators to help drive business growth throughout North Jersey. As a Sales Estimator, you’ll manage the full sales cycle — from identifying new leads to delivering detailed estimates and closing deals. You’ll play a key role in both residential and commercial projects, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while upholding Spectrum’s reputation for quality, professionalism, and integrity.

OBJECTIVES

  • Attend estimates punctually and professionally, providing timely, accurate quotes using company pricing systems.
  • Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs and effectively communicate value across service verticals.
  • Maintain active follow-up on all open bids until a decision is reached, and nurture sold jobs with ongoing customer engagement.
  • Reinforce customer relationships through job site visits, ongoing communication, and by aligning production expectations.
  • Track all sales activity and customer interactions in the CRM, ensuring accurate records and timely follow-ups.
  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, and a personal prospecting plan tailored for long-term growth.
  • Uphold company culture and values by modeling professionalism, positivity, and active participation in team meetings and training.

  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented in all aspects of work, from customer interactions to project documentation.
  • Driven to succeed with a persistent, proactive attitude, and the ability to remain focused and positive through challenges.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of sales experience (residential or B2B preferred)
  • Experience with a one- to two-call close process
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Estimating experience and blueprint reading a plus, but not required
  • Trade/industry background is not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around job sites, including uneven surfaces, for extended periods.
  • Comfortable climbing stairs, ladders, and accessing various building levels to assess interior and exterior painting areas.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds (e.g., paint samples, ladders, marketing materials, or small equipment).
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions during outdoor site visits.
  • Able to drive to client locations and job sites; must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
