Job Description

The client is seeking a Specialized Developer IV to design, develop, and implement applications using Salesforce to support business requirements. Developer performs high complexity (i.e. system level applications) analysis, design, development and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents. The candidate also resolves defects encountered during various testing cycles.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.

• Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL/SOSL.

• Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP), OAuth, and integration patterns.

• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including governor limits and security.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Salesforce DX).

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Certifications (Highly Preferred)

• Salesforce Platform Developer I & II

• Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect

• Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer

• Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I (for LWC-heavy roles)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze highly complex business requirements and generate technical specifications to design or redesign applications and components.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement scalable solutions following industry best practices.
  • Act as a technical expert for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support deployment of large-scale projects from end-to-end in iterative and agile SDLC environments.
  • Integrate Salesforce with third-party APIs and external systems.
  • Develop and customize Salesforce using Visualforce, Lightning components, and modern UI frameworks.
  • Conduct code reviews, write clean and well-documented code, and maintain high test coverage.
  • Quickly adapt to evolving environments and adjust work with a positive, solution-oriented approach.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of overall software development experience, including end-to-end deployment of large-scale projects.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce platform development experience (within a 5+ year total development career).
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce APIs (SOAP, REST, Bulk).
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UI frameworks for Visualforce or Lightning.
  • Experience with version control and development tools (e.g., Git, Visual Studio Code).
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce limitations (e.g., governor limits) and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Administration, including configuration, standard data models, security, workflows, and process automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one backend programming language/environment (Java, Python, Node.js, etc.).
  • Experience working in complex Salesforce environments with multiple projects.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) .
  • Familiarity with tools such as WebSphere, Informatica, or similar technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, self-QA skills, and ability to review peers’ code.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
