GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Tax Analyst reports to the Director of Tax and primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Support federal and state income tax returns compliance process and work paper preparations
• Update and maintain tax calendar to ensure accurate and timely filings
• Support work paper preparations for income tax provision
• Responds to notices and inquiries from various taxing authorities
• Assists with tax audits from various taxing authorities
• Collaborates with other departments/teams on tax issues and/or provides assistance on projects as requested
• Keep up to date with tax changes and industry trends
• Assist with account reconciliations for all above taxes and value added tax accounts (returns are prepared by external consultants)
• Prepare all tax funding requests
• Follow internal controls and develop further compliance efficiencies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have Masters of Tax or Masters of Accounting (with emphasis in Tax) degree and at least 2-5 years of relevant tax experience
• CPA a plus
• Proficiency in Excel - ability to create large workbooks, build formulas and pivot tables, and other projects
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
• Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders
